One Pocket, four folds

Style it. See it. Make it yours. Every look below uses the same $48 b.Honey Pocket — 13" silk twill, 14 mm — folded a different way.

  1. The b.Honey Pocket folded in a soft puff fold in a navy blazer chest pocket

    1. The puff

Pinch the centre, gather the silk, tuck the points down. Softest, easiest fold — half an inch showing.

Pair with The b.Honey Square on game day.

  2. The b.Honey Pocket in a flat presidential fold in a charcoal suit jacket

    2. Presidential

Fold in quarters, then fold to the pocket width. A clean straight line for ceremonies and dinners.

Pair with The b.Honey Scarf on her.

  3. The b.Honey Pocket folded flat beside the white b.Honey keepsake pouch

    3. One-point

Fold corner to corner, then fold the sides in so a single point rises above the pocket.

Pair with The b.Honey Ribbon for the family photo.

  4. Man in a navy blazer and crisp white shirt wearing The b.Honey Pocket folded in his chest pocket

    4. Game day

School colours forward, worn with a blazer over a crisp white shirt from tailgate to reunion table.

Pair with The b.Honey Paw on the family dog.

Where the monogram goes

On a 13" square, the monogram sits in one corner only — never centred. Lay the square flat with the finished face up and place three initials, 3/8" to 1/2" tall, so the block sits 1 3/4" in from each edge of the corner that ends up showing.

Flat placement guide
  • Puff and one-point folds: monogram in the corner that rises above the pocket, facing out and upright to the wearer's right.
  • Presidential fold: monogram in the corner that lands at the top-right of the visible band, about 1/2" above the pocket edge.
  • Style: three initials in order first, last, middle — last initial larger in the centre — or a single last initial for a quieter look. Matte gold or tonal thread reads best on school colours.
  • Keep clear: stay 1 1/2" off the hem so the stitching never crosses the rolled edge, and never monogram two opposite corners — one shows, one shadows through the silk.

The folding pattern

Four steps from flat square to finished pocket. Dashed lines are fold lines; the gold mark is the monogram corner, so you can see where it ends up.

  1. 1. Lay it flat

Face up, monogram corner at the lower right. A 13" square gives you plenty of body to work with.

  2. 2. Fold in half

Bring the top edge down to the bottom edge, keeping the monogram corner exposed on the outside.

  3. 3. Fold the sides in

Fold left and right thirds toward the middle until the width matches your breast pocket, about 4".

  4. 4. Set the reveal

Fold the base up so the finished height clears the pocket by half an inch, then slide it in and press the fold flat.

Show 3/8" to 1/2" of silk above the pocket — enough to see the colour, never enough to flop.
